I find it interesting and fun to add scrapbooking quotes at my scrapbook pages. It gives some value added for me and other who want to see it (if I let them to see it of course).
There is some benefit when you add some quotes on your scrapbook.
Wonderful Space Fillers.
Then just keep those empty spaces look boring, why not put something in there. Just write down whatever comes up in your mind, whether it is messages/ideas that you failed to express effectively while you construct the pages that you working before. Maybe it can be an inspiration for the next page.
Inspire.
Imagine when someone open up your scrapbook and stumble on a line that can make them happy, or smile, or raise their confidence. Is it nice to know that? Is it wonderful that you can spice up someone else life in the entire day just because a scrapbook quotes that you pick carefully?
I remember when I surf the internet, I find an interesting quotes that say, “Do what you can do today better that yesterday”. So…why not make someone else enjoy their rest of the day?
Show others what’s important to you and sum up your emotions in the right way.

Ranchos Carnavalescos are a contribution of an immigrant from Bahia named Hilário Jovino da Silva. They started in 1872 as working class festivity. People would dress up in costumes and perform on the parade accompanied by an orchestra of strings, ganzás, flutes, and other instruments. They were more organized than the Cordões, and gained popularity around 1911.
With the sponsorship of brewery Hanseática, the Ranchos started organized competitions. They became one of the main attractions of Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival, together with the Great Societies. The parade already included a first-wing (abre alas), an orchestra, a male and female choir, and a couple of mestre sala and porta bandeira.
The parades were halted during World War II and started again in 1947. By then the competition happened on Av. Rio Branco. The last competition of ranchos was in 1990, and the winner was a club named Decididos de Quintino.
Corso was a novely intruduced in 1907 with a parade of cars along Av. Rio Branco (then named Av. Central). They were the granddaddys of today’s sophisticated floats. Revelers brought along streamers and paper confetti, plus lança-perfume, a spray of cologne water that would give you a sort of a buzz. In the 30’s this celebration became so popular that almost all car-owners in the city participated! The parade started on Sunday in Botafogo and went all the way to Av. Central.

The first records of Carnival festivities in Rio de Janeiro date back to 1723. Immigrants from the Portuguese islands of Açores, Madeira and Cabo Verde introduced here the Entrudo.
The idea was basically getting everybody soaked wet. People would go out in the streets with buckets of water and limes, and everybody could be a potential victim. Even Emperors took part in the fun. There’s a curious record of a woman being arrested in 1855 for throwing a lime at Dom Pedro I’s escorts. Authorities frowned upon the lack of restraints of Entrudo fun, and eventually it was outlawed.
Zé Pereira was a contribution of a Portuguese shoemaker named José Nogueira de Azevedo, in the mid XIX century. On Carnival Mondays he would march in the streets with his friends playing drums, tambourines, pans, and whistles. Everybody was welcome to join the fun.
Grandes Sociedades or Great Societies was a more organized parade that debuted in 1855, with the presence of the Emperor himself. A group of eighty aristocrats in masks paraded with luxury costumes, music, and flowers. It was a big success. Democráticos, Fenianos and Tenentes do Diabo were the three most well-known groups.
Cordão Carnavalesco is a concept that got its start in 1870. There were characters like queens, kings, witches, peasants and dancers, and they performed according to the costumes they were wearing. There were also the Cordões de Velhos, where participants would wear huge papier-mâché masks and walk in an old man’s gait.

As the traffic slowed down along the windy coast there was an immense anticipation for something new and exciting, a great hope for everything to go well and be success. The Falls Festival had originated ten years earlier in Lorne, Victoria where a farmer with an eye for something big, decided to have his land used for an outdoor new years eve festival. No one really knew how it would turn out and in the end it exceeded all expectations. And so as we approached the turn off to our location, finally veering away from the coastal road, we, along with many others were thinking those same thoughts that the people of Lorne Victoria did, all those years ago.
People could choose to go for one or two nights or even for a day trip. However, the best experience was travelling with your friends and setting up tent for both nights. For the first Falls Festival in Tasmania big acts such as Xavier Rudd, The Beautiful Girls, Regurgitator, Michal Franti and Missy Higgins showcased as well as a long line of local performers, entertainers and comedians. The festival had one main stage for the big acts and a smaller one for local performers plus up and coming artists. People of all ages were allowed to attend, with 18yr old’s and over having a special wristband to buy alcohol. Drink were sold on a ticket system which made the lines less of a burden. A huge number of stalls set up, selling everything from merchandise, cameras and Indian cuisine.
The first festival was a great success, not only because of the large numbers that turned out and the great bands and acts that played but also because the festival made full use of Tasmania’s picturesque Marion Bay. Due to the high temperatures of the first festival (38 degrees) people swum in the bay to cool off from a night and day of sweating, dancing and getting lost, trying to find their car. Since ‘03 the Falls Festival has gotten bigger and bigger, with more famous names headlining each year.
It has now become a permanent feature of Tassie’s events calendar and will continue to be for some time to come. We had witnessed the glory of the first Fall’s at the back of a crowd staring down towards what seemed like a small stage set at the foreground of Marion Bay. Bushland surrounded us on either side and behind the stage a blue mass of ocean stretched out to the horizon. The sun was beginning to set and the new year was fast approaching. There was a type of feeling it seemed among us all, a wave of triumph, a great buzz, electrifying cheers and shouts that would continue through the night and bring us all safely into the new year.
Antiperspirants And Breast Cancer
Most underarm antiperspirants contain as the active ingredient, Aluminium Chlorohydrate, as you will probably think back on there has been controversy about Aluminium, since the 1950’s when it was a popular metal used for making cooking pots, Saucepans and Fry Pans and that it could be one of the contributing factors to Alzheimer’s, now we have another dilemma that could also be related to Aluminium, Breast Cancer.
Research shows that one of the leading causes of Breast Cancer could be the use of antiperspirants. The weak body has a number of areas, that it uses to purge Toxins from the body, these are, behind the knees, behind the ears, the groin acreage, and the armpits. The toxins are purged from the body in the form of perspiration and antiperspirant as the name clearly suggests prevents you from perspiring, thereby inhibiting the committee from purging Toxins from the armpit area.

This article is aimed mainly at ladies, but please be knowing that there are a few antiperspirants on the market that are made from natural products, but basically they would still trap the Toxins in the same areas. The Concept of Fertility Treatment
The term fertility treatment suggests a treatment to improve the fertility or egg production in women who would like to bring a new child into the world. This term originated from a condition known as infertility, where, a man and woman who are in a loving relationship are unable to reproduce naturally. However, this is the scientific aspect; the social implications of infertility are very drastic and tend to cause major problems within a relationship. These complimentary suggestions will be things such as, daily nutrition intake, maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Stress is a major contributing factor to a lot of illness not least infertility, therefore stress must be dealt with immediately.
The Broader Outlook
Infertility is quite an emotional experience for all concerned and deserves to be closely scrutinised by everyone concerned with the subject. Many people are afraid to admit to be suffering from infertility, which is a real shame as there is treatment and support available from many outlets. Having to experience infertility treatment is quite a difficult exercise and entails quite a stressful and emotional time for both partners; the process can be made more difficult by people’s ignorance of the facts, and the lack of medical research.
